Staying Connected to our Community
“the ones who are crazy enough to think they can change the world… ARE THE ONES WHO DO!!” — Steve Jobs
Staying connected to our local communities is more important than ever. It helps create a sense of belonging and social connectedness that produces a positive effect on one’s mental health and social wellbeing. At MPK Advisors, we encourage our team members to stay involved and take part in community activities. Whether it be through volunteering or participating in an event, contributing to our community is an important element that we highly value (along with making important financial decisions of course). Community service is one of the best ways to benefit the public and give back to our community. It also gives us a chance to benefit ourselves.
Five Benefits of Community Service
- It helps us stay connected to the community through improving and bettering the place we live.
- It can benefit career prospects by allowing us to gain experience and various skills.
- It raises social awareness and brings us closer as a community by establishing individual relationships.
- It allows us to establish more friendships and connections.
- It helps improve our social skills while benefiting the community.
Community Involvement has the power to bring positive, measurable change to both our communities and business. We strive to make a positive impact and are committed to making a difference in not only our clients’ lives, but within our local community as well. Specializing in Not-For-Profit Accounting has opened our lives to many causes and has given us the opportunity to participate and volunteer in support of those causes. Strengthening our community, local businesses, and Not-For-Profits will always be a top priority and reflect 3 of our 6 core values of Empathy, Respect, and Improvement. Now, you may be asking, how can I get involved? There are many ways and opportunities to be involved, here are some suggestions below.
How to Get Involved
